Advancing Cultural Commons: CREARE Social at ENCATC presenting the research for GLAMMONS

September 30, 2025

At the #2025ENCATCCongress in Barcelona, dedicated to the future of cultural policy, practice, and education, Lyudmila Petrova, Ph.D. presented CREARE’s work for GLAMMONS, co-authored with Arjo Klamer and Matilde Ferrero.

Our research shows that GLAMMONS prioritise different combinations of values to serve communities. The #valuebasedapproach helps analyse these values and supports governance and funding that reinforce GLAMMONS’ principles. Policy makers need broader frameworks to monitor and assess value-driven GLAMs.

There’s also timely news from Barcelona! The UNESCO 2025 Framework for Cultural Statistics, which includes the #valuebasedapproach, will be launched in Barcelona on 29 September 2025, 18:15–19:15. Details here: https://lnkd.in/eYi93y7G
